By joining Youth Connect Foundation (YCF) as a volunteer, you agree to support its mission, values and youth-focused community work in a responsible and respectful manner.

Volunteer Status

Volunteering is unpaid and does not create an employment relationship. Volunteers should not expect salary, allowance, benefits or other remuneration unless a specific approved reimbursement is communicated in writing.

Conduct & Representation

Act with honesty, respect, professionalism and accountability.
Respect diversity, inclusion, safeguarding and the dignity of children, young people and community members.
Do not make commitments, public statements or representations on behalf of YCF without authorization.
Protect confidential information, internal documents and personal data obtained through volunteer activities.

Commitment & Participation

Volunteers should communicate responsibly, attend agreed activities where reasonably possible, follow project instructions and promptly inform the relevant team if they are unable to continue an assignment.

Safety & Safeguarding

Volunteers must follow applicable YCF safety, safeguarding, privacy and responsible digital participation practices while working with children, young people, communities, partners and other volunteers.

Ending Volunteer Engagement

A volunteer may withdraw from an assignment by informing YCF. YCF may also suspend or end volunteer engagement where conduct, safety, confidentiality, trust, performance or organizational considerations make this necessary.

We may collect your name, email address, phone number, address, education, occupation, social media details, volunteer interests, skills, experience and other information relevant to volunteer opportunities.

Purpose of Collection

We use this information to assess volunteer applications, communicate opportunities and updates, coordinate activities, support safeguarding and administration, and improve programs for volunteers and communities.

Data Sharing & Disclosure

YCF will not sell or rent your personal information. We will not share it with third parties without your consent except where required by law, necessary for safety or safeguarding, or reasonably necessary to facilitate an approved volunteer activity.
